ASK YOURSELF

According to medical experts, one in 12 adults will experience major depression at some point in their lives.

When must you seek help for depression? Ask yourself: Do you feel worthless, helpless or hopeless? Have you lost interest in daily activities or work? Has your appetite changed? Have you had trouble falling asleep or getting up? Do you have trouble thinking, concentrating or making decisions? Have you been unusually prone to accidents or errors at work? Has your job productivity decreased? Are you avoiding people? Has your sex drive dropped? Do you have overwhelming feelings of sadness or grief? Have you been thinking of death or suicide?

When these feelings are severe, last for weeks and interfere with your life, then take action.
